  1. 1/4-1/2 pound ground meat
  2. 1-2 cups chicken broth
  3. 2 cloves garlic
  4. 1 Tbl. Fresh ginger
  5. 1/2 tsp. Sugar
  6. 3 Tbl. Soy sauce
  7. 3 stalks scallion (green onion)
  8. 1 Tbl. Gochujang (or hot sauce)
  9. 1 ground black pepper (to taste)
  10. 4 Oz. Noodles (glass noodles are the best, but any work)

Steps to make to make Korean Style Chinese Noodles

  1. Soak noodles in water (room temp) until soft. I'm using rice noodles, they take about 30 minutes.
  2. Add some oil to a wok/stir-fry/skillet and heat on medium
  3. Dice your garlic and ginger, add to hot oil, stir for 1 minute
  4. I'm using Gochujang, this now is available in the Asian section of our regular grocery stores.
  5. Add your Gochujang or hot sauce, stir for 1 minute
  6. Add meat, break it up
  7. When the meat is just cooked
  8. Add home made chicken broth 😉 2 cups little soupy, 1 cup more dry. I used 2 cups here.
  9. Add sugar, soy sauce, black pepper, turn heat up to medium-high, Bring to a boil
  10. Add soft noodles and scallions
  11. Stir and continue to boil for 2 or 3 minutes until noodles are cooked.
  12. Serve. Garnish with sesame seeds, scallions, cilantro.
